As the subject suggests I have had this for three years now. Every time there is a windows update Notes gets removed as default e-mail program.

Anyone else has this?

I get the same problem from time to time (but only when Microsoft Update deliveres a security patch for the Outlook client I happen to have installed as well). I guess not installing Outlook at all would solve this problem... :)

Ahh good point. I NEVER install Outlook and even uninstalls the lite version thats ships with XP.

Could be why I have never had this problem.

I was helping a new employee at Strand today and the first thing that happened was that the outlook client crashed on the first start.
It was kind of hard to keep a straight face.
