I have tried to get Domino Experts listed at Google lately but have had some difficulties.

When I tried a search today I found that they have at least found my example agent:

 

Have you submitted a sitemap directly to Google?

Expect to wait around a month before you see any changes, if you try some SEO-techniques.

I have fed google a site map but I believe google did not like my long URLs. (I had tons of parameters in the URL)

I have shortened my URLs and that apparently has helped even though my site map still has the long format. So my guess is that google uses crawling as well as the site map.

The single biggest reason to climb the resultlist is to get linkbacks from big sites, but also the hardest achieve...

Enable the searchengine friendly URLs if you can, switching "?" to "!".

Use Substitution -

Instead of

http://www.dominoexperts.com/de/forum.nsf/forumlist?openView

U could have a

http://www.dominoexperts.com/domino-forum

And so on...

 

I would look for another solution then to send along the ParentUNID in the URL when doing a reply, cookies is one way to go.

Use DIV's instead of tables, making the most important content appear on top.

Titles should always have a H1-tag and only one H1-tag per page. Use stylsheets to format to your liking.

You don't have any meta-tags for description and content.

Flip the title around so you have you namebranding last.

 

Provide a proper DOCTYPE, the one your using is not complete.

Validate you page and write proper XHTML Strict.

Avoid "Tag Soup", separate content from layout. Meaning no STYLE-attributes in your tags, no onclicks etc. This will make the spiders you easier and you will have a better performing page as well.

 

There are much more but I think this is enough to get you started.

Good feedback. I have tried the title flip this morning. Should provide better readability in the search results.

Apparantly all the posts can be found at google now. So I guess google likes standard Domino URL's and do not like it when you extend them with extra parameters.
